Oil Boiler Service
Caring for your boiler will make it run more efficiently and last a lot longer.
Regular servicing is cost effective in the long run.
Regular inspection and routine maintenance of an oil fired boiler includes:
-
Fit new burner nozzle
-
Clean oil filter
-
Clean and set ignition electrodes
-
Replace flexible oil line if expiry date before next due service (extra charge for this)
-
Check oil pump pressure and adjust as required
-
Clear baffles of soot/debris for efficient operation
-
Check corroded or worn parts and replace where necessary
-
Check flue integrity (blockages/soundness)
-
Checks to prevent carbon monoxide leakage
-
Analysis of exhaust gases
-
Inspect oil storage tank, line, and oil lifter (tiger loop) if fitted
-
Check operation of remote fire valve & emergency shut-off safety functions
-
Complete an OFTEC CD11 Report for your records - keep this useful document. As well as part of a boiler's service history, it advises on the condition of the boiler and system in general
-
Leave area clean and tidy
NOTE:
There must be a sufficient fuel oil supply present in the storage tank.
Oil boiler services are thorough, and typically take about 1 hour to complete.
