Oil Boiler Service

Caring for your boiler will make it run more efficiently and last a lot longer.

Regular servicing is cost effective in the long run.

Regular inspection and routine maintenance of an oil fired boiler includes:

  • Fit new burner nozzle

  • Clean oil filter

  • Clean and set ignition electrodes

  • Replace flexible oil line if expiry date before next due service (extra charge for this)

  • Check oil pump pressure and adjust as required

  • Clear baffles of soot/debris for efficient operation

  • Check corroded or worn parts and replace where necessary

  • Check flue integrity (blockages/soundness)

  • Checks to prevent carbon monoxide leakage

  • Analysis of exhaust gases

  • Inspect oil storage tank, line, and oil lifter (tiger loop) if fitted

  • Check operation of remote fire valve & emergency shut-off safety functions

  • Complete an OFTEC CD11 Report for your records - keep this useful document.  As well as part of a boiler's service history, it advises on the condition of the boiler and system in general

  • Leave area clean and tidy

NOTE:

There must be a sufficient fuel oil supply present in the storage tank.

Oil boiler services are thorough, and typically take about 1 hour to complete.
